Reaction Steps
A mixture of 2,5-dimethylpyrimidin-4-amine (15.2 g, 49.0 mmol) in DCM (30 in L) was stirred at room temperature, and O-(mesitylsulfonyl)hydroxylamine (2.0 g, 16.0 mmol) was added slowly. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 12 h, then the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The crude product was used for the next step without further purification. ESI MS: m/z 139 [M+H]+.
