To a solution of 3-bromo-5-[(S)-2-(tert-butyl-dimethyl-silanyloxymethyl)-pyrrolidin-1-yl]-pyridine (intermediate A-3 [B], 0.1 g, 0.269 mmol) in MeOH (2 mL) was added 4M HCl in dioxane (0.202 mL, 0.808 mmol) and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 h. The mixture was evaporated to dryness, the residue diluted with DCM, poured into aq. NaHCO3 (10 mL) and extracted with DCM (25 mL). The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and evaporated to give the title compound (0.060 g, 87%) as a yellow oil. MS: 257.0, 259.0 (M+H+).
