(R)-2-Methyl-propane-2-sulfinic acid 1-(5-bromo-4-methyl-pyridin-3-yl)-meth-(E)-ylideneamide, prepared from (R)-2-methylpropane-2-sulfinamide and 5-bromo-4-methyl-pyridine-3-carbaldehyde in analogy to procedure described for the preparation of intermediate A-35 [A], has been reduced with NaBH4 in MeOH in analogy to the procedure described for the preparation of intermediate A-35 [B] to give the title compound as colorless solid. MS: 305.3 and 307.4 (M+H+).
