A mixture of tert-butyl 4-(2-(dimethoxymethyl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1,8-naphthyridin-3-yl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (Intermediate 339, 1.0 g, 2.20 mmol) and 3M HCl in MeOH (7 ml) was stirred at 60° C. After stirring for 13 h, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and evaporated. The residue was diluted with MeOH and evaporated again (4×). The title compound was obtained as a brown solid. (UPLC-MS 3) tR 0.31 min; ESI-MS 292.2 [M+H]+.
