Procedure
N-(4-Fluoro-3-nitrophenyl)-2,2-dimethylpropanamide (158 mg, 0.658 mmol) and cyclohexylmethylamine (0.100 mL, 0.790 mmol) were stirred in 3 mL of EtOH containing triethylamine (0.140 mL, 0.987 mmol) at 75° C. for 24 h. The solvent was evaporated. The residue was dissolved in EtOAc and washed with 5% KHSO4 solution, saturated NaHCO3 solution, brine and dried over anhydrous MgSO4. Yield: 217 mg (99%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CHLOROFORM-D): δ 0.98-1.09 (m, 2H), 1.17-1.28 (m, 3H), 1.31 (s, 9H), 1.65-1.73 (m, 2H), 1.74-1.80 (m, 2H), 1.82-1.84 (m, 1H), 1.85-1.88 (m, 1H), 3.15 (dd, J=6.64, 5.47 Hz, 2H), 6.83 (d, J=9.37 Hz, 1H), 7.23 (br.s, 1H), 7.82 (dd, J=9.18, 2.54 Hz, 1H), 8.10 (d, J=2.54 Hz, 1H), 8.11-8.13 (m, 1H).
