Reaction Steps
1.5 g of the compound obtained in Step B, in 50 ml of methanol and 0.1 ml of concentrated sulphuric acid, are heated at reflux for 2 hours. The solvent is then evaporated off, the residue is hydrolysed and the precipitate obtained is chromatographed on silica gel (eluant: AcOEt/toluene 5/95).
