4-[7-(2-Butynyl)-3-methoxycarbonylmethyl-2,6-dioxo-2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-purin-8-yl]piperazine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (13 mg) was dissolved in trifluoroacetic acid (0.5 ml), and the solution was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. After the solvent was removed by distillation, a half of the residue was purified by HPLC with a reversed phase system column using water-acetonitrile-trifluoroacetic acid system as elution solvent to give 2.4 mg of the title compound.
