Heat a solution of [2,5-dimethyl-3-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imidazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-7-yl](2-chloroethyl)amine (0.04 g, 0.12 mmol), and cyclohexyl amine (0.13 mL g, 1.16 mmol) in dry NMP (2 mL) at 80° C. for 20 h. Pour the cooled mixture onto water (20 mL) and extract twice with ethyl acetate (20 mL). Wash the combined extracts with brine (20 mL), dry, and evaporate in vacuo. Purify by flash column chromatography (10% methanol in CH2Cl2 with 0.1% ammonium hydroxide) to obtain the title compound as a white solid.
