Procedure
A mixture of 114 mg 6-{3-[4-(6-methoxypyridin-3-yl)phenyl]-1-trityl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl}-3-(pyridin-2-yl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (compound in Example 365), 4 mL of 5 N hydrochloric acid and 4 mL ethanol was heated overnight under reflux. The reaction solution was basified with 5 N sodium hydroxide under ice-coolingd water, and the precipitated crystals were collected by filtration. The crystals were dried over hot air at 70° C., then dissolved in a mixture of methanol and dichloromethane and filtered. The filtrate was evaporated, then ethyl acetate was added to the residue which was then triturated, and the crystals were collected by filtration and dried under reduced pressure with a vacuum pump, to give 36 mg of the title compound as white crystals.
