A mixture of Example 15 (100 mg, 0.24 mmol), ethyl bromo acetate (29 μl, 0.26 mmol) and K2CO3 (36.6 mg, 0.26 mmol) in toluene (2 ml) was heated to 100° C. for 5 h. After cooling to room temperature, the precipitate (unreacted starting material) was removed by filtration. The filtrate was concentrated and purified by chromatography over silica gel (eluent: DCM then acetone) to yield the above-titled compound as an oil (47.2 mg). 1H NMR (CDCl3): 7.63 (2H, d, J=8.3 Hz), 7.25–7.30 (3H, m), 6.68 (2H, d, J=1.5 Hz), 4.23 (2H, q, J=7.1 Hz), 3.89 (1H, dd, J1=11.7 Hz, J2=6.3 Hz), 3.55–3.65 (2H, m), 3.3–3.5 (3H, m), 3.26 (3H, s), 3.05 (1H, d, J=10.8 Hz), 1.31 (3H, t, J=7.1 Hz).
