Reaction Steps
Deprotection with morpholine led to piperazine-1-carboxylic acid 4-methoxy-benzyl ester. The hydrochloride was prepared by addition of HCl/Et2O to a solution of the free base in Et2O followed by evaporation. 1H-NMR (d6-DMSO): 3.10 m, 4H and 3.60 m, 4H, piperazine-H; 5.02 s, 2H. MS (ISP): 251.2 MH+.
