Procedure

A solution of {6-[2-(3-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-propoxy)-pyrimidin-4-yloxy]-1-hydroxy-4-methyl-1,3-dihydro-benzo[c][1,2]oxaborol-3-yl}-acetic acid (0.3 g, 0.64 mmol) in 4M HCl in dioxane (3 mL) was stirred for 2 hours at room temperature. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the residue purified by preparative HPLC to give {6-[2-(3-amino-propoxy)-pyrimidin-4-yloxy]-1-hydroxy-4-methyl-1,3-dihydro-benzo[c][1,2]oxaborol-3-yl}-acetic acid (0.1 g, 42%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO): δ 8.46 (d, J=6.0 Hz, 1H), 8.04 (brs, 2H), 7.34 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.12 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 6.72 (d, J=5.6 Hz, 1H), 5.54 (dd, J=2.0, 9.6 Hz, 1H), 4.28 (t, J=6.0 Hz, 2H), 3.10 (dd, J=2.4 Hz, 15.6 Hz, 1H), 2.88-2.83 (m, 2H), 2.32 (s, 3H), 2.20-2.14 (m, 1H), 2.00-1.97 (m, 2H). MS (ESI) m/z=372 [M−H]−.
