A solution of 2-bromo-1-(2-furyl)ethanone (220 mg, 1.16 mmol) and 6-chloropyridazin-3-amine (150 mg, 1.16 mmol) in dioxane (4 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 1.5 hours, and at 65° C. for 16 hours. The reaction mixture was then cooled to ambient temperature, diluted with 3:1 (chloroform:isopropanol) and water. The layers were separated and the organic layer was concentrated under reduced pressure. Silica gel chromatography (0-15% methanol in dichloromethane) afforded the title compound.
