A solution of tert-butyl(5-{[2-(acetylamino)[1,3]thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-5-yl]oxy}-2-fluorophenyl)carbamate (0.65 g, 1.54 mmol) in trifluoroacetic acid (5 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 30 min. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue was diluted with ethyl acetate (100 mL), washed with 0.1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (100 mL), and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The insoluble material was filtered off, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was triturated with diethyl ether to give the title compound (0.49 g, quantitatively) as a white amorphous.
