To tert-butyl[5-({2-[(cyclopropylcarbonyl)amino][1,3]thiazolo[5,4-b]pyridin-5-yl}amino)-2-fluorophenyl]carbamate (3.40 g, 7.67 mmol) was added 4N hydrochloric acid/ethyl acetate (50 mL), and the mixture was stirred at 0° C. overnight. The reaction mixture was neutralized with saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution, and extracted with ethyl acetate (50 mL×3). The organic layer was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (1.70 g, 65%) as a purple powder.
