Procedure
Ethyl (R)-4-(2-oxo-4-phenyl-oxazolidin-3-yl)benzoate (623 mg) described in Preparation Example 75 was dissolve in methanol (3 mL) and 1,4-dioxane (3 mL), 1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (5 mL) was added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hr. The mixture was neutralized with 1N hydrochloric acid (5 mL), 1-(3,5-dimethylpyridin-2-yl)piperazine (383 mg) described in Preparation Example 47 and 4-(4,6-dimethoxy[1.3.5]triazin-2-yl)-4-methylmorpholinium chloride hydrate (DMT-MM) (829 mg) were added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. Water was added to the reaction mixture, and the mixture was extracted with chloroform. The organic layer was washed with saturated brine, and the solvent was evaporated. The residue was purified by column chromatography (chloroform:methanol) to give the title compound (144 mg).
