In a manner similar to the method described in Example 1e, rac-(2R,3R,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-propyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid (3-amino-propyl)-amide prepared in Example 29 (0.18 g, 0.37 mmol) was reacted with 1-acetylpiperidine-4-carboxylic acid (Lancaster) (0.7 g, 0.58 mmol), HATU (0.3 g, 0.78 mmol) and iPr2NEt (0.5 g, 3.9 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (20 mL) at room temperature for 20 h to give rac-(2R,3R,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-propyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid [3-(1-acetyl-piperidin-4-ylamino)-propyl]-amide as a white solid (0.16 g, 67%).
