In a manner similar to the method described in Example 42c, rac-(2R,3S,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-but-3-enyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid trifluoroacetic acid prepared in Example 80c (1.0 g, 1.69 mmol) was reacted with 2-((S)-2,2-dimethyl-[1,3]dioxolan-4-yl)-ethylamine (0.73 g, 5.0 mmol), HATU (1.15 g, 3 mmol) and iPr2NEt (1.46 mL, 8.4 mmol) in CH2Cl2 at room temperature for 20 h to give rac-(2R,3S,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-but-3-enyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid [2-((S)-2,2-dimethyl-[1,3]dioxolan-4-yl)-ethyl]-amide as a white solid (0.82 g, 80%).
