In a manner similar to the method described in Examples 1e, rac-(2R,3S,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-propyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid (0.35 g, 0.75 mmol) was reacted with 1-(4-amino-phenyl)-2-bromo-ethanone (Astatech) (0.17 g, 0.9 mmol), HATU (0.5 g, 1.3 mmol) and iPr2NEt (0.33 mL, 2.6 mmol) in CH2Cl2 at room temperature to give rac-(2R,3S,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-propyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid [4-(2-bromo-acetyl)-phenyl]-amide as a white solid (36 mg, 7%).
