0.64 g of 4-[5-(3-difluoromethoxy-benzenesulfonylamino)-2-methoxy-phenyl]-[1,4]diazepane-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (1.213 mmol) were dissolved in 20 mL of dichloromethane and 1.82 mL of a 2N solution of hydrochloric acid in diethyl ether was added. After stirring at room temperature for 16 h, the solvents were evaporated, the residue redissolved in water, the aqueous phase washed with dichloromethane and then lyophilized to yield the title compound.
