Compound A (1.21 g, 2.60 mmol), hydroxylamine hydrochloride (181 mg, 2.6 mmol), pyridine (10 mL, 100 mmol), and MeOH (10 mL, 300 mmol) were combined and stirred at room temperature overnight. Additional hydroxylamine hydrochloride (20 mg) was added and the mixture evaporated to dryness. The solids were dissolved in DCM (50 mL), washed with water (2×20 mL) and saturated aqueous NaCl (10 mL), dried over Na2SO4, and evaporated to dryness to afford compound B as a white solid (1.0 g).
