Procedure
A mixture of 4-chloro-6,7-dimethoxy-3-quinolinecarboxamide (0.046 g, 0.17 mmol), 3-chloro-2-methylaniline (25 μl, 0.21 mmol) and acetic acid (40 μl) in DMF (0.8 ml) was heated at 100° C. for 4.5 h. After cooling the reaction mixture was diluted with water (15 ml) and made alkaline with 1 M NaOH. The precipitate was collected by filtration, rinsed with water and dried to give the title compound (51 mg, 79%).
