Procedure

To a solution of the compound obtained from Step C (2.20 g) in CH2Cl2 (10 mL) was added trifluoroacetic acid (11.0 mL). The mixture was stirred at rt for 1.0 h before the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The residue was further chased with toluene to remove residual trifluoroacetic acid. The TFA salt obtained was used in the next Step without further purification.
