To a solution of 1H-1,2,4-Triazole-3-thiol (0.250 g, 2.4 mmol) and triethylamine (2.50 g, 2.4 mmol) in dry dichloromethane (20 ml) was added 2-Bromo-1-(4-(2,6-difluorobenzyloxy)phenyl)-1-Ethanone (Step B, 0.851 g, 2.4 mmol) in dry dichloromethane (5 ml) at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred for 50 minutes and then concentrated in vacuo. The crude residue was taken in EtOAc and washed with 0.1M HCl, and brine. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered, concentrated and purified by flash chromatography on silica gel column (chloroform:methanol, 9:1) to provide the title compound.
