The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. Solvents were evaporated under reduced pressure yielding 6.45 g crude 4-fluoro-benzenesulfonic acid 2-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-1H-benzoimidazol-5-yl ester.
