Beginning with 0.94 gm (4.4 mMol) 5-fluoro-7-bromobenzofuran and 0.63 mg (4 mMol) (S)-(+)-N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-2-methylaziridine, 0.534 gm (46%) of the desired compound were prepared essentially as described in Example 10.
