A mixture of 4-piperidin-4-yl-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one (79 mg, 0.36 mmol), 4-oxo-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-2H-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridine-1-carbaldehyde (50 mg, 0.3 mmol) and piperidine (1 drop) in ethanol (2 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 4 days. The precipitate was collected by vacuum filtration, washed with ethanol followed by 0.1% of acetic acid in water and dried to give 30 mg (23%) of the title compound.
