A mixture of 4-piperidin-4-yl-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one (58.4 mg, 0.27 mmol), 5-methyl-4-oxo-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-2H-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridine-1-carbaldehyde (48 mg, 0.27 mmol) and piperidine (1 drop) in ethanol (1 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 7 days. The precipitate was collected by vacuum filtration, washed with ethanol and dried to give 58 mg (57%) of the title compound as a yellow solid.
