Reaction Steps
6 mol/L Hydrochloric acid was added to 3-{(2S,4S)-1-tert-butoxycarbonyl-4-[4-(5-ethoxycarbonyl-2-pyridyl)-1-piperazinyl]-2-pyrrolidinylcarbonyl}-1,3-thiazolidine trihydrochloride [product of Example 211 (2), 1.00 g] and the mixture was refluxed for 2 hr. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by HPLC. This was converted to hydrochloride with 4 mol/L hydrochloric acid-1,4-dioxane to give the title compound (158 mg) as a white powder.
