Reaction Steps

Add powdered K2CO3 (0.661 g, 4.8 mmol) to a solution of (6-{[3-(2-Chloro-6-fluorophenyl)-5-methyl-isoxazole-4-carbonyl]-amino}-pyridin-2-yl)-acetic acid ethyl ester (0.5 g, 1.2 mmol) in DMF (20 ml) under N2 and stirred overnight. Dilute with EtOAc, wash (H2O then brine), dry (MgSO4), filter, and concentrate. Column chromatography (silica gel, hexanes/EtOAc gradient) gives the title compound (0.376 g, 79%). Mass Spectrum (FIA) (m/z) 398.1 [M+1]
