X-Ray Crystal Structure Determination of Hydroxyphenstatin (6a). A thick, plate-shaped X-ray sample (˜0.38×0.36×0.08 mm), grown from methanol solution, was mounted on the tip of a glass fiber with Super-Glue. Data collection was performed at 301±1° K. Accurate cell dimensions were determined by least-squares fitting of 25 carefully centered reflections in the range of 35°<è<40° using Cu Ká radiation.
