Procedure

In analogy the procedure described in example 17b, the 3-[4-(tert-butyl-dimethyl-silanyloxy)-butyl]-6-[4-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-piperidin-1-yl]-2-methyl-5-nitro-3H pyrimidin-4-one (example 17a) was treated with hydrofluoric acid (47-51% in water) in acetonitrile and dichloromethane at room temperature to yield the 6-[4-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-piperidin-1-yl]-3-(4-hydroxy-butyl)-2-methyl-5-nitro-3H-pyrimidin-4-one as a yellow solid; m.p. 154-156° C.; MS: [M+H]+=405
