Reaction Steps
3.64 g of 1-benzyloxycarbonyl-4-[3-(4-tert-butyloxycarbonylaminomethylphenyl)propionyl]piperazine (starting material B3), dissolved in 100 ml methanol are hydrogenated over palladiumicarbon (10%) for 3 h. The catalyst is filtered off and the solvent is removed in vacuo, giving 2.55 g of the title compound. The mass spectrum shows the molecular peak MH+ at 348 Da.
