Following the general procedure for carbodiimide formation outlined in example 12, N-(2-chloro-3-fluorophenyl)-N′-[4-chloro-2-tert-butyldimethylsilyloxy-3-(N″,N″-dimethylaminosulfonyl)phenyl]thiourea (367 mg, 0.67 mmol), methanesulfonyl chloride (0.12 mL, 1.38 mmol) and triethylamine (0.2 mL, 1.04 mmol) were reacted to form the desired product (360 mg, crude). 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 0.36 (s, 6H), 1.03 (s, 9H), 1.2.87 (s, 6H), 7.01 (m, 2H), 7.09 (d, 1H), 7.21 (m, 1H), 7.34 (d, 1H).
