Procedure
A mixture of 2-azetidin-3-yl-5-chloro-1H-benzoimidazole (as prepared by Preparation 2) (1.0 g, 4.83 mmol) and 2,3-dichloro-pyrazine (0.71 g, 10.4 mmol) was dissolved in DMF (20 mL) and heated for 2 h at 100° C. The mixture was diluted with water (10 mL), and extracted with EtOAc (2×20 mL). The combined organic extracts were washed with water (50 mL) and brine (50 mL), dried over Na2SO4, and filtered. The filtrate was evaporated in vacuo to afford the product as a yellow solid.
