To a stirred solution of (1-(3-chlorophenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)methanamine hydrochloride (103 mg, 0.33 mmol, 1.0 eq) in DMF (5 mL) was added TEA (0.092 mL, 0.66 mmol, 2.0 eq) followed by phenyl 4-(1,3-dihydroxy-2-methylpropan-2-yl)phenylcarbamate (100 mg, 0.33 mmol, 1.0 eq) at 0° C. and the mixture was stirred for 16 h at RT. The reaction mixture was concentrated under vacuum and the residue purified by neutral alumina column chromatography using MeOH/CHCl3 (0.5:9.5) as eluent to get 1-((1-(3-chlorophenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)methyl)-3-(4-(1,3-dihydroxy-2-methylpropan-2-yl)phenyl)urea (105 mg; 65%) as a white solid (TLC system: MeOH/CHCl3 (1:9), Rf: 0.3).
