6-Methyl-7-nitro-2-(4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-yl)-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-1(2H)-one (72A: 350 mg, 1 mol) in methanol (10 mL) was reduced with 10% Pd/C (100 mg) to afford 300 mg of the product (93.7% yield).
