To a solution of 4-(4-fluoro-1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)-2-thiophenecarboxylic acid (84 mg, 0.372 mmol), 2-{(2S)-2-amino-3-[2-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]propyl}-1H-isoindole-1,3(2H)-dione (130 mg, 0.372 mmol) [from Preparation 6], diisopropylethyl amine (323 uL, 1.86 mmol) in DCM (4 mL) was added PyBrop (208 mg, 0.446 mmol) in one portion. After 1 h, the reaction contents were partitioned between H2O/DCM. The aqueous phase was washed several times with DCM and the combined organic fractions were dried over Na2SO4, concentrated and purified via column chromatography (silica, 0.5% MeOH-DCM) affording the title compound (135 mg, 65%) as a white solid: LCMS (ES) m/z=557 (M+H)+.
