The title compound was prepared in two steps from tert-butyl 3-ethyl-1-oxo-2,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-8-carboxylate in an analogous fashion as described for 3-methyl-2-(5-oxo-2,5-dihydrofuran-3-yl)-2,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decan-1-one (I-22).
