To a suspension of 4-methyl-5-[(2S)-oxiran-2-yl]-2-benzofuran-1(3H)-one (I-4A) (200 mg, 1.05 mmol) and 2-(4-methyl-5-oxo-2,5-dihydrofuran-3-yl)-2,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decan-1-one (300 mg, 1.05 mmol) in 10 mL of EtOH was added DIPEA (271 mg, 2.10 mmol). The resulting mixture was stirred at 80° C. overnight, and then cooled to room temperature; the solvent was removed under vacuum. The residue was purified by flash chromatography (ethyl acetate: MeOH=20:1) to afford title compound. MS-ESI (m/z): 441 (M+1)+.
