To a 5 mL microwave reaction vessel was added 2-fluoro-5-(2-(2-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-methylpropylamino)pyrimidin-5-yl)benzonitrile (220 mg, 0.6 mmol), hydrazine (500 μL), and propanol (5 mL). The reaction was heated to 120° C. and stirred for 3 h. The reaction was concentrated and purified by reverse phase column chromatography to give 95 mg (42%) of 5-(2-(2-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-methylpropylamino)pyrimidin-5-yl)-1H-indazol-3-amine as a white solid (m/z [M+H]=377.1).
