Procedure

4M HCl in dioxane (101.3 μL, 0.405 mmol) was added to a stirred solution of tert-butyl(5-(3-hydroxyprop-1-yn-1-yl)-3-(5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)pyrazin-2-yl)(tert-butoxycarbonyl)carbamate (40 mg, 0.08105 mmol) in MeOH (1 mL) and the reaction allowed to stir at ambient temperature for 20 hours then concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by reverse phase preparative HPLC [Waters Sunfire C18, 10 mM, 100 Å column, gradient 10%-95% B (solvent A: 0.05% TFA in water; solvent B: CH3CN) over 16 minutes at 25 mL/min]. The fractions were collected and freeze-dried to give the title compound as an yellow solid (22.4 mg, 94% Yield). MS (ES+) 294.2.
