Procedure

Following Step 1 from General Procedure A, 3-bromothiophene-2-carboxylic acid (7.3 g, 35 mmol) was reacted with 2-fluoro-4-methoxyaniline (5.0 g, 35 mmol) to afford the desired product (10 g, 90%) as an orange solid: ESI MS m/z 331 [C12H1FNO2S+H]+.
