Procedure
A solution of 2-[4-(3-bromopropoxy)phenyl]-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane (500 mL, 2.02 mmol), N1,N1-diethylethane-1,2-diamine (0.87 mL, 6.1 mmol), and potassium carbonate (550 mg, 4.0 mmol) in acetonitrile (15 mL) was heated to 50° C. for 3 h. The reaction mixture was cooled, filtered and the filtrate was concentrated to afford the desired product (400 mg, 53%) as a yellow oil: ESI MS m/z 377 [C21H37BN2O3+H]+.
