To a stirred solution of N-((4,6-dimethyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridin-3-yl)methyl)-6-formyl-1-isopropyl-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine-4-carboxamide (0.515 g, 1.40 mmol) in DMF (3 mL), Oxone (0.861 g, 1.40 mmol) was added and stirred it at room temperature for 3 h. On completion of reaction, water was added to it and extraction was carried out using 20% MeOH/DCM. The combined organic layers were washed with water, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to afford crude material which was as such used for next step.
