5′-((tert-Butylamino)methyl)-3,3″-dichloro-4,4″-bis(trifluoromethyl)-[1,1′:3′,1″-terphenyl]-4′-ol was prepared as a white solid using the procedure described in Example 5 from 3,3″-dichloro-4′-hydroxy-4,4″-bis(trifluoromethyl)-[1,1′:3′,1″-terphenyl]-5′-carbaldehyde and tert-butylamine.
