Procedure

The thus formed immobilized enzyme conjugate was packed in a suitable column and a 45% solution of fructose with 5×10-3M MgCl2 was passed over the conjugate while maintaining the temperature at 60° C. for a period of 2 hours. At the end of the 2 hour period the amount of glucose formed and the flow rate were assayed. It was found that the activity of the enzyme was 131 units/gram.
