The position of the signals is: 3-methyl-2-buten-1-yl compound: olefinic H: 5.25 (d), CH3 : 1.64 (s) and 1.77 (s), benzylic >CH-- 6.00 (t). benzylic CH2 --: 3.52 ppm (s) 3-methyl-1-butyl compound: CH3 : 0.90 (d). benzylic >CH-- 5.35 (m), benzylic --CH2 --: 3.54 ppm (s).
