Procedure
K2CO3 (3 eq) and 10 (2.5 g, 4.8 mmol) were heated to reflux in aqueous methanol for 2 hours at which time starting material had been consumed. The reaction mixture was concentrated, diluted with EtOAc and washed with brine. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue was purified via flash chromatography eluting with 20% EtOAc/hexanes to provide the product as a pale green solid.
