Lithium hydroxide (64 mg, 1.54 mmol) was added to a solution of tert-butyl 4-[4-(methoxycarbonyl)-2-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazol-1-yl]piperidine-1-carboxylate (50 mg, 0.154 mmol) in methanol (10 mL). After 2 h, the reaction was quenched with saturated sodium bicarbonate solution and dichloromethane was added. The mixture was filtered and the filtrate was concentrated. Purification by silica gel chromatography (100% dichloromethane→25% methanol {1% ammonium hydroxide}/dichloromethane) gave the title compound (17 mg). MS 312.2 (M+1)
